Flying it realistically

  • Switch the sim's mixture, carb heat and fuel-selector controls to manual levers or a mouse; do not rely on 'auto-mixture' assists.
  • Fly with realistic engine wear off and fuel/engine management on, so leaning and sumping have consequences.
  • Match the sim variant (steam gauges vs G1000) to the checklist you print. Layouts and annunciations differ.
  • Use the sim's weight and balance menu together with this site's calculator, and check the fuel load is correct before engine start.

Sim use only. These cards are simplified summaries and must never replace real aircraft checklists. Add-on aircraft often differ from the real aircraft and from each other.

EDUCATIONAL USE ONLY. Content is summarised from manufacturer documentation for learning. It is not approved flight or maintenance data. Always use the current, aircraft-specific POH/AFM, FCOM, QRH, AMM and operator procedures.
